Is your dog digging up your back yard, chewing your favorite shoes or rearranging your furniture while you are at work? Do you find it hard to work from home or manage the kids while your dog is begging to go outside and play?
Well, our BrownDog Lodge dog daycare at our East Memphis or Germantown location is your solution! Your furry family member can be entertained all day long at our daycare with his/her canine friends and our dog loving staff. Our daycare is available Monday through Friday from 7am-6pm. Your dog will play with friends and our staff throughout the day with a brief nap time at midday. Our multiple indoor and outdoor play areas and large grass backyard offer lots of space for your pup to run and play. We provide webcam access from 9am - 6pm to all of our clients so that they can check in on their happy pets.

Puppies who are younger than six months who have not been spayed or neutered can participate in daycare play. If the puppy has shown signs of heat or aggression, they may not participate in daycare play. All dogs must be non-aggressive in nature, current on all vaccination, and evaluated prior to attending daycare. After a Meet and Greet, your pup is welcome to join our daycare anytime. The Meet and Greet is FREE and must be scheduled in advance. Future daycare reservations are recommended but not required. Although we have two convenient locations serving the Memphis and Germantown communities, we also offer transportation service in our shuttle van if you would like the convenience of home pick-up and delivery.

The Importance of Socialization
Proper socialization with other dogs and other humans is critical to having a happy, healthy, and well-adjusted pet. With so many people spending more time at home in 2020, your furry family member may now be home alone for long periods of the day for the first time in a while, and the stress of solitude may cause anti-social habits such as destructive chewing, persistent digging, excessive barking, or other signs of separation anxiety. Pets may also show signs of stress such as drooling, attempts to escape, and pacing.
If your pet is suffering from separation anxiety or simply the boredom of home isolation after many months of company, bring them to daycare with us! Daycare provides your loved one with the pack environment they are accustomed to, creating a trusted second home for your pet while you are away. Bringing your pup to daycare with us provides all the physical, mental, and social exercise your dog needs. Give us a call to learn more about the socialization benefits of daycare.
The Importance of Resting
You may be asking – why is my pup resting and not outside with all their furry friends? Routine rest time during daycare is not only important to the health of your pet, but also for the safety of the entire pack. Resting refers to the downtime in between playtimes during daycare. This gives your pet a chance to recuperate so they do not exhaust themselves before their visit comes to an end, which is especially important for our full-day guests. Additionally, resting significantly decreases the chances of injuries within the pack. Just like with humans, rest allows for the microtears in their muscles from exercising to repair and become stronger.
We take the safety of our pets and staff very seriously. Resting is an important part of our safety guidelines, including temperament tests and dividing our daycare pups into playgroups based on this temperament and size.
